Banal Longevity

I wish life weren't so long.
I can make good enough decisions with the next few months in mind. I can plan for that. But when I realize that choices I make now, small and large, will affect the rest of my life, which I assume will be a very long time, I feel so confined. Everything feels reckless because the consequences reach so far. Everything feels meaningless because nothing will last as long as life.
It is wearisome.

  1. completely unrelated to this post. I am impressed that you have finally felt comfortable to post an actual photo of yourself on your blog. It's a nice photo an dI think it shows you're growing. I love you very much
